|Glycolic Acid||Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) exfoliator|
Exfoliates dead skin cells
Reduced cell cohesion within stratum corneum
Reduction in epidermal thickness with continued use between chemical peel treatments
Pre peel skin primer for chemical peels
Directions for Use
Apply to clean dry skin after cleansing and anti-aging / vitamin products. Should be used at night depending on skin care regimen. For more sensitive skin types dilute (50/50) with either Serene Hydrating Lotion or Serene Moisturizing Cream.
Before any chemical peel procedure, for a period of minimum two weeks, your client should be already priming their skin with an AHA product. AHA 10 Pre Peel Cream was designed to reduce the thickness of the stratum corneum and prepare the skin for chemical peel application. If your clients skin is not primed before chemical peel application, the full affect of the peel will not be realized.
Special Note: Should not be used in conjunction with other AHA products.
Through the use of a glycolic acid product prior to treatment, the skin will be reduced in thickness and will allow the full penetration of chemical peel. If your client has a history of mild sensitivity to glycolic acid, this product should be tried first before higher percentages. Lac 10 moisturizing lotion can also be tried for this purpose but AHA 10 Pre Peel Cream is preferred.
If client is on a chemical peel schedule, AHA 10 Pre Peel Cream can be used several times a week to increase cell renewal and insure the results of each chemical peel are maintained.
